We are looking for an ambitious and motivated researcher to join our team Viral Trafficking, Restriction and Innate Signaling led by Sébastien Nisole and Nathalie Arhel, at the "Institut de Recherche en Infectiologie" (IRIM) in Montpellier, France.
The candidate will work under the supervision of Sébastien Nisole on innate immunity directed against arboviruses, including dengue virus, Zika virus and West Nile virus.
This project, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), is part of a scientific collaboration with researchers from the INSERM Unit "Pathogenesis and Control of Chronic Infections" in Montpellier and the University Hospital of Martinique.


Purification and differentiation of primary human cells, virus production and infections in L3 containment laboratory, flow cytometry, classical molecular and cell biology techniques, RT-qPCR, western blot, microscopy.


Strong background in virology and/or innate immunity.
Excellent technical, organizational and communication skills
Self-motivated, dynamic and able to work independently.

Work Context

The applicant will benefit from a highly collaborative and international environment. The host team is part of IRIM, a research center dedicated to research on micro-organisms and immunity. IRIM provides access to state-of-the art platforms and technical support. The institute is located in the beautiful city of Montpellier, in the south of France.

Constraints and risks

The candidate will work in L2 and L3 containment laboratories.
