Job Description
Missions
Investigate the intracellular lifestyle of Nocardia species and their antimicrobial resistance mechanisms
Activity
Establish and characterize Nocardia infection models in different human cell lines.
Investigate the impact of antibiotics on intracellular bacteria.
Elucidate the mechanisms underlying antimicrobial resistance.
Your Profil
Skills
Expertise in cell biology.
Expertise in bacteriology.
Expertise in fluorescence and confocal microscopy.
Good knowledge of statistical analysis.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Proficiency in scientific and technical English.
Your Work Environment
The proposed project, funded by the ANR (French National Research Agency), will be carried out within the “Autophagy Machinery in Infections” team, co-led by Mickaël Blaise and Lucile Espert, at the Institute of Infectious Disease Research of Montpellier (IRIM), UMR9004, CNRS.
Constraints and risks
Work in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory.
Occasional work outside regular working hours may be required.
