Job Description
Missions
Conduct a project aiming to study the role of nuclear pore complexes in chromatin organization
Activity
Develop a scientific research question
Select, adapt, develop, and carry out experimental approaches designed to answer a scientific research question, in consultation with the laboratory director
Analyze and present scientific results at team meetings, conferences, and through the writing and publication of scientific articles
Supervise a doctoral student and potential interns, engineers, or students
Monitor scientific developments related to their project
Your Profil
Skills
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in the field of genome organization
In-depth knowledge of biology, particularly in the areas of chromatin organization and the role of nuclear pores, is required.
Proficiency in the microC technique—including both the experimental and bioinformatics analysis components—is essential.
Proficiency in classical genomics techniques (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, etc.)
Proficiency in mouse ES cell culture and in vitro differentiation
Proficiency with the gastruloid model
Proficiency in English (B1 level)
Ability to work in a team while respecting individual differences
Experience supervising PhD students
Scientific curiosity and motivation
Your Work Environment
The Institute of Human Genetics (IGH) is a joint research unit (CNRS-University of Montpellier). The unit has a staff of 220 and is divided into three departments. The researcher will work within the Nuclear Architecture team, under the supervision of Dr. C. Boumendil (CRCN, CNRS).
The IGH is located on the Arnaud de Villeneuve campus, which participates in the “Objectif Employeur Pro-Vélo” program.
