Missions
A post-doctoral position in Vision Science is available in Bilge SAYIM's research group. The position is part of a collaborative project with Dr. Wolf Harmening (University of Bonn, Germany), focusing on the study of spatial vision, appearance and redundancy masking.
Activités
The research spans multiple levels, from the activation patterns of retinal cone cell ensembles (studied using adaptive optics imaging techniques) to the resulting visual appearance (measured with appearance-based methods).
Compétences
A PhD in cognitive science, psychology or a related field is required. Previous experience in psychophysics and experimental psychology is desirable. Strong computer skills are essential, and proficiency in programming (e.g. Python or MATLAB) is an advantage. The position is for two years, with an ideal start date between May 1 and September 1, 2025.
Contexte de travail
The post-doc will be supervised by Bilge SAYIM at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), Université PSL, within the Laboratoire de Sciences Cognitives et Psycholinguistique (LSCP) in Paris, France. The main themes of his research group are spatial vision, visual appearance and consciousness.
