Missions

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in order to develop research in mathematics and simulation with interdisciplinary applications that should fit the domains of the projects CPER "WaveTech@HdF". (The domains of the CPER "WaveTech@HdF" are photonic sciences, quantum physics, and the study of materials for the purpose of ecological transition.)

Activités

Carry out research at the highest level. Collaborate with researchers of the Laboratoire Painlevé and of a partner lab of the CPER "WaveTech@HdF" (see context). Develop scientific exchages with partner labs of the CPER "WaveTech@HdF".

Compétences

We will pay pay special attention to applicants with an expertise in the domain of quantum simulation, and more specifically in quantum information. Nevertheless all applications whose topics can be integrated in the domains of the CPER will be examined with care.
Required qualifications: For this interdisciplinary profile, applicants can have a PhD in physics with strong competencies in mathematics, or a PhD in mathematics with an appetence in quantum physics.

Contexte de travail

The hired postdoc will be part of the Laboratoire Paul Painlevé (mathematical research lab of the Université de Lille, CNRS and Inria), and of the consortium of the CPER "WaveTech@HdF", which associates the research labs PhLAM and IEMN (project leaders), IRCICA, Painlevé, UCCS, LPCA.

Contraintes et risques

Short professional travels in France and abroad are expected.

Informations complémentaires

The contract is 12 months long. The interested applicants have to provide: 1/ a detailed curriculum vitae with a publication list, 2/ a motivation letter, 3/ a research proposal. The date of the beginning of the contract, possible from July 2023 on, can be adjusted according to the availability of the hired person.
