Missions

A postdoctoral researcher position is open in the PCMT group of the PhLAM laboratory in Lille (France) to carry out the development and implementation of quantum embedding methods using correlated electronic structures approaches (in particular coupled cluster). This position is financed for 24 months by the pilot project OVERSEE of I-SITE ULNE (http://www.isite-ulne.fr/index.php/en/oversee-modelisation-innovante-deserosols-de-radionucleides-2/).

Activities

The candidate will formulate new embedding methods combining the coupled-cluster method and more approximate versions of it, and will implement them in the DIRAC (diracprogram.org) and PyADF (pyadf.org) codes, or propose extensions to these.

Skills

The candidate should have obtained his/her PhD in theoretical chemistry or in a recognized group.
A strong expertise in the development of electronic structure methods is expected.
The candidate should be motivated, flexible, show initiative and an ability to work both independently and in a group.
Programming skills (Python, C++, Fortran….) are required.
Recognized communication skills are, of course, welcome

Work Context

The candidate will be affiliated at the PhLAM laboratory, in the Physical-Chemistry Molecular Team (PCMT). He/she will work closely with Drs. Valérie Vallet and André Severo Pereira Gomes.
