Missions

In the framework of ANR's JCJC Sensation project, the NCM group at IEMN (https://www.iemn.fr/la-recherche/les-groupes/groupe-ncm) proposed a postdoctoral position is on modelling of dendritic growths in multilayered electronic systems, and simulation of electronic network topologies for in materio calibration of multi-sensor systems.

Activités

The activity includes:
- Theoretical and experimental study of dendritic growth's physical mechanism for conducting polymers, and the evolution of their signal transport properties.
- Compact modelling of multi-terminal system, electro-generated with different pulse-voltage patterns.
- Equivalent admittance simulation for the different electro-generated topologies for pattern recognition of pulse voltage signals.
The aim is to find a model of an in materio program for pattern recognition in multi-sensor electrical-transducers.

Compétences

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent, at the interface of engineering sciences and information sciences. Ideally, an experience in tensor calculus, fractional calculus, multivariate data analysis and/or machine learning, with knowledge in impedance spectroscopy, material science and/or solid-state electrochemistry. Moreover, they must show good communication skills, written and oral.

Contexte de travail

The mission will take place at the Institute for Electronic, Microelectronic and Nanotechnologies (IEMN) in Villeneuve d'Ascq/France. IEMN is a join-research institute from CNRS (French Scientific Research Council), two universities, and an engineering school in the Hauts-de-France region. IEMN's microfabrication and characterizations facilities are at high-rank EU-level. IEMN is a 500+ people institute with 109 professors/associate-processors, 45 tenured CNRS researchers, 100+ engineers and administrative staffs, 150+ PhD students and 30+ post-docs and invited researchers. The lab is involved in many international research initiatives with 100+ foreign researchers at IEMN from 20+ countries abroad. IEMN's scientific activities includes broad domains from materials' physics, micro-wave structures, telecommunications, and acoustic instrumentations.

Contraintes et risques

An approval for entering in a national restrictive regime area (ZRR) will be required to fulfill the position.
