Missions

As part of a research team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a research project to study the impact of mutations in the DDX6 gene on neural development, as part of a project funded by the FRM. The project follows on from the team's previous work showing that mutations in the DDX6 gene are responsible for a syndromic form of neurodevelopmental delay in humans. Its objective is to understand the mechanisms leading from these mutations to the pathology.

- Development of an iPSC model of mutations observed in patients
- Characterization of defects at the cellular level
- Characterization of defects at the transcriptomic level

Compétences

- Solid experience in molecular and cellular biology
- Proven experience in iPSC cell culture and differentiation
- Experience in transcriptome analysis desirable
- Ability to work independently on scientific projects, analyze results, and write manuscripts
- Curiosity, dynamism, team spirit.

Contexte de travail

The successful candidate will work in the “mRNP and condensates” team led by Dominique Weil at the Development, Adaptation and Aging Laboratory (Dev2A, UMR8263 U1345, a joint CNRS-Inserm-Sorbonne University unit) at the Paris Seine Biology Institute (IBPS). This laboratory, located on the Pierre and Marie Curie campus of Sorbonne University, is part of the Paris Seine Biology Institute (IBPS).
In addition to its manager, the team includes a researcher, two teacher-researchers, an engineer, a postdoctoral fellow, a doctoral student, and a volunteer collaborator.
