Missions
Task 1: To continue the development of a 3D MHD code of Mercury's magnetosphere based on MPI-AMRVAC.
Task 2: To run test-particle simulations (C++ code WINTERFELL) in the electromagnetic fields from the MHD simulation of Mercury's magnetosphere.
Task 3: To conduct detailed analysis of the magnetosphere-surface interactions with electrons: how particles enter/leave the magnetosphere, how long are they trapped in the night side, is there always a ring current at Mercury? (bibliography work+simulations)
