Job Description
Missions
Develop quantum nanodiamonds containing Group IV vacancy (G4V) color centers for sensing under extreme conditions, combining CVD synthesis, optimization of optical properties, and demonstration of quantum sensors under high pressures and magnetic fields.
Activity
Structural and optical characterization of G4V centers; development of post-synthesis treatments; performance of quantum sensing experiments under high pressure and magnetic fields; analysis and dissemination of results.
Your Profil
Skills
Background in physics, materials science, quantum optics, nanoscience, or a related field. Experience in materials characterization, spectroscopy/optics, or vacuum techniques. Skills in numerical modelling and/or high-pressure physics would be an advantage. Autonomy, rigor, and an interest in interdisciplinary research.
Your Work Environment
The project will be carried out at the Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris (IRCP), in collaboration with the LSPM and LuMIn laboratories. The postdoctoral researcher will join an international and multidisciplinary environment, with access to state-of-the-art research infrastructures, including the SOLEIL synchrotron.
Constraints and risks
Low chemical and electrical risks. Mandatory training in the use of experimental equipment, particularly laser sources and high-vacuum/high-pressure systems.
