Missions
Research in the themes of the ANR QUOPS: sampling and quantum optimisation.
The objective of this project is to push the frontier of quantum algorithms and quantum algorithmic techniques to solve key problems in optimization and sampling. To this end, we will combine and exploit recent, but mostly disjoint, advances in quantum algorithms in discrete and continuous contexts. Examples are recent quantum algorithms from the scientific coordinator for graph problems such as sparsification and Laplacian solution, and an independent line of work on quantum algorithms for convex optimization techniques such as gradient descent and semidefinite programming.
Activités
* Develop new algorithmic techniques to solve key problems in optimisation and sampling.
* Interact with members of the team, the laboratory and the Paris region
* Contribute to the preparation and writing of scientific papers
* Participate in seminars and conferences.
Compétences
D. in Quantum Computing and a research profile recognised by international publications.
Contexte de travail
The research conducted at IRIF is based on the study and understanding of the foundations of all fundamental computer science, in order to provide innovative solutions to current and future digital science challenges.
The position is within the Algorithms and Complexity team. It is also part of the PCQC research federation in quantum computing.
