Missions
The Project Manager will play a central role in the steering, coordination, organization, and implementation of the ELISCO program, which aims to better understand inequalities in students' academic and career pathways from the end of primary school through to higher education. Each of the two Project Managers will be responsible for one of the two ELISCO cohorts, working in close collaboration with the program's scientific leads, the administrative director of the PPR Sciences for Education (which oversees all initiatives including the ELISCO program), as well as academic, institutional, and professional partners. They will be expected to oversee and manage the administrative aspects (finances, human resources, partnerships, communication, etc.) of one of the two cohorts.
Activities
Implement an action plan in coordination with the management team
Lead the project, monitor audits carried out, implement recommendations, and drive a quality assurance approach
Prepare and propose a budget, monitor its allocation and execution, and track and analyze expenditures
Ensure compliance with administrative rules and procedures
Mobilize and coordinate the necessary human (administrative, logistical, and technical) and material resources to achieve the objectives
Supervise and lead a team
Manage the recruitment of fixed-term contract staff and temporary workers
Conduct strategic monitoring, identify and propose new opportunities, and stay informed of regulatory developments
Implement internal and external communication strategies, and ensure effective internal information flow
Skills
The candidate must have proven experience in project management, as well as the following skills:
Strategic and operational oversight: ability to organize and structure complex projects involving a variety of partners.
Team leadership and coordination: ability to bring together multidisciplinary teams and maintain a collaborative dynamic.
Administrative and financial skills: proficiency in budget monitoring, financial reporting processes, and management tools.
Communication and dissemination: ability to develop appropriate communication strategies and promote project outcomes to diverse audiences.
A good knowledge of research in the field of education would be an asset.
English language proficiency: B1 to B2 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Work Context
The Priority Research Program (PPR) “Sciences for Education” was launched on January 1, 2025, for a period of eight years. As part of the France 2030 investment program, it is led by the University of Poitiers and the CNRS, with support from the ANR as program operator. The program brings together a large network of academic, institutional, and professional stakeholders. It consists of a set of coordinated scientific actions (work packages or WPs), calls for projects, scientific events, and training events. LaPsyDÉ hosts a project team. The successful candidate will work independently under the supervision of the director of PPR and DU at LaPsyDÉ at the LaPsyDÉ premises at 46 rue Saint-Jacques, 75005 Paris. The Project Manager will interact with ministries and their statistical services and co-coordinate a team of eight people plus 100 to 150 temporary staff recruited throughout France for each wave of data collection planned for the two cohorts of students monitored over eight years. The successful candidate will receive support from the LaPsyDÉ administrative manager and the necessary training offered by the supervisory authorities to take up the position.

Constraints and risks
