Job Description
Missions
Analysis of administrative data on students, teachers, and schools from the Directorate of Planning and Performance (DEPP - MENJS) to map educational inequalities. Data analysis.
Activity
Organization of data from multiple DEPP databases;
Development of scripts and data analysis models (including structural equation modeling);
Interpretation of results;
Drafting of briefing notes;
Drafting of articles;
Presentation of the study's key findings
Your Profil
Skills
Experience analyzing administrative databases on education data in France or abroad. Experience conducting experiments with children and adolescents in school settings.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of experimental psychology as applied to education;
- Knowledge of educational psychology and child cognitive development;
- Knowledge of the educational environment, its institutions, and its users;
- Knowledge of the main data analysis models;
Skills:
- Formulation of a scientific research question;

Your Work Environment
LaPsyDÉ (Laboratory of Child Developmental and Educational Psychology, UMR CNRS 8240), led by Grégoire Borst, now has more than thirty-five researchers working on the cognitive, socio-emotional, and neural mechanisms involved in the development and learning of children and adolescents. In particular, the laboratory's researchers study the role of these mechanisms in language, reading, and mathematics learning, reasoning, decision-making, visual categorization, creativity, and information evaluation.
The Priority Research Program (PPR) “Sciences for Education” was launched on January 1, 2025, for a duration of eight years as part of the France 2030 program. Within the framework of the France 2030 investment program, it is led by the University of Poitiers and the CNRS, with the ANR serving as the program operator. The program brings together a broad network of academic, institutional, and professional stakeholders. It consists of a set of coordinated scientific initiatives (Work Packages or WPs), calls for projects, scientific conferences, and training events. The ELISco program is one of the PPR's key initiatives and mobilizes a broad network of academic and institutional stakeholders around the study of educational trajectories. The successful candidate will be based at LaPsyDÉ (UMR 8240), reporting to the ELISco program director and working under the functional supervision of the program's project manager. They will work closely with the scientific teams, institutional partners, and data-producing departments, particularly the DEPP.
Constraints and risks
This position is located in a sector covered by the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST) and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival be authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
Need to analyze a portion of the data within the DEPP - MENJS in the 15th arrondissement.
