Missions
The successful applicant will join the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d'Orsay (UMR CNRS 8214). He/she/They will be working on the iSELECTION project (ANR-22-CE29-0013), dedicated to revealing the molecular carriers of absorption bands observed in interstellar clouds.
The contract can be renewed for 12 months for candidates with less than 2 years' experience since their PhD thesis.
Activités
- Participation in the development of a device combining ion mobility and a cryogenic ion trap
- Implementation of a SLIM-type ion mobility device
- Action spectroscopy measurements of electronic spectra of mass and shape-selected molecular ions
- Analysis of experimental results
- Writing articles and presenting results at conferences

Contexte de travail
The Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d'Orsay (ISMO - UMR 8214) is a research unit created in 2010, associated with the CNRS and the Université Paris-Saclay.
ISMO is home to around 160 permanent and non-permanent staff and 60 trainees, divided into 6 research teams and 5 research support services (instrumentation, electronics, mechanics, IT and administration).
The post-doctoral stay will be carried out in the SYSTEMAE team.
