Job Description
Missions
As part of the PEPR Recycling project (CYCLALOOP – Innovative recycling approaches and short loops for strategic metals), the Navier laboratory is responsible for assessing the environmental impact of the various metal recycling pathways being explored. The person recruited will be responsible for conducting this environmental assessment using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method, while also contextualizing the work through the most comprehensive literature review possible.
Activity
State-of-the-art review of metal recycling processes and their environmental profiles, where applicable
Collection of necessary data from project partners
Conducting screening LCAs
Feedback to partners and refinement of LCA models.
Your Profil
Skills
Knowledge of LCA methodology and associated software tools (knowledge of Brightway is a plus)
Knowledge of metals and, ideally, their recycling pathways would be a plus
Your Work Environment
The work will be carried out within the Architectured Materials and Structures team at Navier, where an LCA working group pools expertise in this field. The successful candidate will liaise with the various working groups of the CYCLALOOP project to gather the necessary data and ensure the consistency of the work produced in collaboration with experts in metallic materials.
