As part of the ANR DANthe project, the mission will be to elaborate novel gold nano-objects that combine chemotherapy using a new active agent (polyoxometalate (POM)), photothermal (PTT) and photodynamic (PDT) therapies to obtain unprecedented active tri-therapy drugs against cancer and bacterial infections.


The hired postdoc will have to :
• prepare new gold nanostars using biologically active reduced POMs
• develop a set-up to determine the singlet oxygen production of these objects.


We are looking for a strongly motivated, enthusiastic and creative researcher with the following qualifications, skills and expertises:
• Synthesis of metallic nanoparticles
• Characterization of nanoparticles (ICP, DLS, microscopy (SEM, TEM), infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopies)
• Experience in synthesis and characterization of metallic complexes would be an asset
• Experience in singlet oxygen detection would be an asset
• Experience in cellular tests would be an asset
• Fluent English (oral/written)
• Scientific rigor, organizational skills and team spirit
• Experience in writing scientific manuscripts

Work Context

The research will take place at the Institut Lavoisier de Versailles (MIM group) in Paris Saclay Université, in collaboration with the LRS (Sorbonne Université, Paris).
