Expertise in digital processing of African language dictionaries
Manipulation, analysis, and modeling of BANG project data
Activités
The RE will be specialized in the digitization and conformity checking of data, in particular for the lexicon and typology of the languages of the Bandiagara cliff (Dogon, Gur, Songhay, etc.).
Additionally, the RE will assist in developing computationally supported methods of historical language comparison for non-affiliated languages.
Compétences
- knowledge of the main linguistic IT platforms
- mastery of computer languages: JavaScript; Python; Scikit-Learn; HTML5; Cascading Style Sheets (CSS); SQL
- Work experience in applied linguistics
- Interest in African languages, and the languages of the Bandiagara cliff in particular
- command of one or more African languages is a plus
