Job Description

Missions

Annotate narrative elicitation data, including language, gestures and eye-tracking
data. Perform joint analyses of multimodal data. Write up the output papers,
including the relevant literature review (covering linguistic typology and language
acquisition).

Activity

Statistical analysis and computational modelling of cross-linguistic data from a
developmental project investigating the emergence of an indefinite article in Hindi.
Oral narratives have already been collected from children, parents, and
grandparents.

Your Profil

Skills

PhD in Linguistics, Psycholinguistics or Cognitive Science.
Desirable skills:
Experience with transcription, annotation, and analysis of linguistic and behavioral
data (including egocentric eye-tracking data).
Proficiency in Hindi
Experience in computational modeling of typological data.

Your Work Environment

Research project on cross-linguistic pragmatics.
