Job Description

Missions

The post-doctoral researcher's duties will involve studying post-quantum cryptography algorithms, particularly those already standardized by NIST—notably ML-KEM (CRYSTALS-Kyber), ML-DSA (CRYSTALS-Dilithium), and the upcoming FN-DSA (Falcon) and HQC—as well as those still in contention under NIST's additional call for signature algorithms: SQIsign, HAWK, MQOM, SDitH, MAYO, QR-UOV, SNOVA, UOV, and FAEST.

Activity

The initial objective will be to conduct a preliminary analysis of the four families of post-quantum algorithms in order to identify the underlying mathematical theories for each. Subsequently, the focus will shift to one of these families, with the aim of deriving new results regarding the relevant algorithmic aspects. Implementing specific attacks will enhance understanding of the security of the targeted algorithms and may lead to both publications at international cryptography conferences and contributions to the standardization process for new signature algorithms.
