Your Work Environment
The recruited researcher will be hosted at the UMR PALOC (IRD – MNHN – CNRS), a multidisciplinary research unit based in Paris, specialized in studying interactions between human societies, environments, and heritage from a comparative and interregional perspective. The UMR develops approaches grounded in social sciences and ecology, with particular attention to territorial dynamics, local knowledge, and transformation issues.
This position is part of the RZA's future involvement in the exploratory PEPR funded by France 2030, which aims to structure inter- and transdisciplinary research on socio-ecological transformations with a North-South perspective.
The recruited researcher will contribute to the operational and scientific implementation of TRANSFORM, in connection with the RZA teams, by leveraging the skills and networks of UMR PALOC. The position requires work that connects the conceptualization of Transformative Sciences, field investigations, scientific coordination, and network facilitation, with a strong reflexive and strategic dimension.
