Your Work Environment

As part of the establishment of the experimental platform for the conservation of reef functions, “Labo-Corail,” in Martinique, CNRS is recruiting an engineer to develop approaches for coral microfragmentation, controlled culture, and reintroduction of coral colonies (including protected species), while also ensuring the day-to-day technical operation and performance of closed-circuit aquaculture facilities dedicated to tropical corals.
The engineer will contribute directly to drafting the technical report and operational protocol for coral conservation and reintroduction by carrying out the experimental work, scientific monitoring, and preparation of recommendations.
Operational mastery of aquaculture systems (operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, energy optimization, and water quality management) is essential. This expertise will be assessed as a priority (case study and/or practical test). The successful candidate may also work on various research programs launched during this period (e.g. BestLife 2030 RECIF on sea urchins).
