Missions
The objective of this post-doc is to determine whether Golgi proteins, Golgins, have hierarchical interactions that allow them to self-organize in a precise order. Confocal microscopy, dynamic light scattering, spectro-fluorimetry and surface force apparatus are among the techniques that will be used. Models will be developed to predict the kinetics of spontaneous Golgin assembly in vivo.
Activités
Prepare lipid membranes and deposit proteins on them.
Study the self-organization of these 'proteo-membranes' and of the proteins themselves within a membrane.
Compétences
Know how to use a confocal microscope and a surface force apparatus.
Know how to form supported bilayers and vesicles (small or giant).
Know the basic principles of fluorescence and lipid self-assembly.
Contexte de travail
Reserch will be carried out in an environment where several other doctoral/post-doctoral students are working on complementary themes on the self-organization of the Golgi apparatus and its functioning. The student will therefore be able to rely on a multidisciplinary team who can help him in his research work.
The team's state-of-the-art equipment will also facilitate the progress of the thesis.
