Missions

Join Oria Bioscience team, an emerging start-up, spin-off of ENS-PSL and CNRS, based in the vibrant 5th arrondissement of Paris. We developed an innovative microfluidic process to generate and purify over-micrometric organelles, which have the potential to shape the future of therapeutic research targeting intracellular membrane proteins. Our goal is to address the pharmaceutical industry with organelle preparations for unprecedented drug screening approaches, at organelle scale, on discovery platforms. Oria Bioscience team comes from CNRS, and has already received innovation awards and fundings, showcasing its immense potential.
We are looking for a passionate Microfluidicist Junior Scientist (Engineer, Ph.D. holder or post-doc) with knowledge in cellular biology and fluid physics to join our team and contribute to our R&D. However, candidates with different training backgrounds who are eager to work in microfluidics with biological materials and be part of an ambitious adventure are also encouraged to apply.
As a key member of our emerging team, you will thrive in a challenging, science-driven, and creative environment. You will accompany Oria Bioscience in its transition from a lab proof of concept to an industrial process, by working with our first industrial collaborators.

Activités

• You will be in charge of optimizing our organelle sorting process, ensuring a sophisticated and reliable purification workflow with high performance.
• You will be responsible to achieve superior performance in organelle purification, meticulously refining flow management and mechanical parameters to reach viable organelles.

Compétences

• You are proactive, ideally a mechanical Engineer/Post-Doc, with a solid background in microfluidics (2 to 5 years of experience), fluid physics and physico-chemistry of interface.
• You have a comprehensive understanding of cell biology lab environments, hands-on experience in cell manipulation, and a proven track record in designing microfluidic chips, system automation and micro-fabrication.
• Having manipulated cells in microfluidic channels or having a previous experience in the sorting of biological sample (cells, exosomes, droplets, etc …) in microfluidics would be a plus.
• You demonstrated project management skills, autonomy, and an enthusiasm for tackling new challenges. Having a strong ability to collaborate within a team is highly valued.
• Fluent in English (proficiency in French is advantageous), candidates should possess excellent communication skills.

Contexte de travail
