Job Description
Missions
Within the Institute of Porous Materials of Paris, you are responsible for the synthesis and characterization of COFs intended for use as electrode materials for CO₂ reduction as well as for CO₂ chemisorption.
Activity
As a postdoctoral researcher, your activities include the following:
• Synthesis of organic linker molecules for the preparation of covalent organic frameworks (COFs)
• Synthesis of covalent organic frameworks and their characterization
• Modification of covalent organic frameworks using reducing agents under inert conditions
• In-depth analysis and characterization of CO₂ chemisorption in modified covalent organic frameworks
• Preparation of electrode materials for electrocatalysis based on covalent organic frameworks
• Analysis of electrocatalytic measurements and evaluation of product streams during electrocatalysis
Your Profil
Skills
You hold a PhD in chemistry, with a specialization in materials chemistry, and possess excellent knowledge in the synthesis of new organic materials as well as their characterization using all common techniques. You have solid experience in integrating materials into electrodes for electrochemical measurements and are experienced in conducting and analyzing such measurements. You are also capable of supervising and mentoring students and effectively transferring your knowledge to them.
Your Work Environment
The Paris Institute of Porous Materials (IMAP), a joint CNRS/ENS/ESPCI Paris/PSL unit, possesses globally recognized expertise in the synthesis and characterization of crystallized hybrid porous solids known as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and their associated composites, for applications in the fields of energy and the environment (CO2 capture, capture of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), detection, catalysis (H2 production, etc.), heat exchange, batteries, biomedicine, etc.
