Job Description
Missions
The project focuses on the capture of N-nitrosamine contaminants in the pharmaceutical industry. The position involves the synthesis and characterization of MOF materials selected for the effective adsorption of these species.
Activity
The main objectives are:
- Synthesis, scaling up, and characterization of MOF-type porous solids.
- Optimization of MOF formulation and shaping.
- Characterization of materials using X-ray powder diffraction, nitrogen porosimetry, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis,...
Your Profil
Skills
Required knowledge and qualities:
- Ph.D. in chemistry or physical chemistry of materials
- Knowledge and experience in the synthesis, scale-up, shaping, and characterization of crystalline porous solids
- Motivation, independence, and strong adaptability
- Attention to detail, initiative, and strong reporting skills
- Good command of English
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral

The Paris Institute of Porous Materials (IMAP), a joint CNRS/ENS/ESPCI Paris/PSL research unit, possesses world-renowned expertise in the synthesis and characterization of crystallized hybrid porous solids known as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and their associated composites, for applications in the fields of energy and the environment (CO2 capture, capture of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), detection, catalysis (H2 production, etc.), heat exchange, batteries, biomedicine, etc.)
