Missions
We are looking for a motivated research assistant to join our team for a project investigating the development of spatial and sequential representation abilities in infants. The project explores how mental space is used to actively represent and retrieve sequential information from birth to 24 months of age. Although the position does not require deep theoretical involvement, a general understanding of the scientific objectives is expected.
Activités
- Recruiting participants (newborns and infants) at the Bichat maternity ward and at the babylab.
- Establishing and maintaining longitudinal contact with families.
- Organizing and scheduling appointments.
- Conducting behavioral testing with infants at both research sites (maternity and babylab).
- Managing data, including online and offline coding.
- Assisting with the creation of experimental stimuli.
- Participating in the general organization of the project.
Compétences
- Enrolled in a Master's program (M1 or M2) in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, or a related field.
- Strong interest in developmental psychology.
- Experience or ease in interacting with infants and their parents; strong interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized, autonomous, detail-oriented, and able to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with behavioral methods used in infant research (e.g., looking time paradigms, habituation/familiarization) is a plus.
Contexte de travail
The research assistant will be based at the babylab of the Integrative Neuroscience and Cognition Center (INCC), Université Paris Cité, and will also work at the maternity ward of Bichat Hospital (Paris). The INCC (UMR8002) is a joint research unit of the CNRS and Université Paris Cité, bringing together research teams in fundamental neuroscience, neurophysiology, and cognitive science. The INCC offers access to state-of-the-art facilities in a multidisciplinary scientific environment.
