Job Description
Missions
The development of new antiviral treatments, a major public health issue, requires new innovative therapeutic strategies. As part of the PEPR NIPAH-LISA project (France 2030), in collaboration with biologists, immunologists and galisnists, we are looking for a post-doctoral student who will develop the synthesis of several chemical series using an SAR approach, with a view to identifying a drug candidate for studies in the regulatory preclinical phase.
Activity
The person recruited will be responsible for synthesising and characterising different series of molecules. To do this, he/she will develop catalytic methods, purify (by silica chromatography, HPLC, etc.) and characterize the molecules produced by mass spectrometry and NMR. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment at the interface of organic chemistry, biochemistry and biology.
Your Profil
Skills
The person recruited should hold a PhD in chemistry with solid experience in organic synthesis. Skills in catalysis will be appreciated. They will need to be highly motivated by research, curious, well-organised and self-reliant.
Your Work Environment
This project will take place within the joint UMR - Polytechnique LSO unit (UMR CNRS 7652). The LSO unit is a laboratory working at the frontiers of organic synthesis and biology. The person recruited will develop catalytic approaches and apply them to the synthesis of target molecules in close collaboration biologists and biochemists.
