Missions
The candidate will be required to develop a reactor coupling plasma and ion membranes to optimize oxygen synthesis from CO₂ contained in the Martian atmosphere.
The Phoenix project is a collaboration between LPP and CNES.
PHOENIX is a pioneering initiative to develop a membrane-coupled plasma reactor for oxygen production from CO₂. The objectives of the study are to improve the reactor's efficiency, reduce its weight and optimize key chemical processes such as gas separation and conversion. This study is part of the “Life Support Systems” roadmap managed by the Spaceship France project, for future lunar and Martian explorations.
Activités
Activities include the following aspects:
- Development of a plasma reactor,
- Spectroscopic measurements,
- Publication of scientific results.
Compétences
- Doctorate in plasma physics,
- publications in peer-reviewed journals,
- programming experience in python/matlab and data analysis,
