Missions
Gain a better understanding of bacterial rheotaxis in non-unidirectional flows (such as flows through constrictions or pillar arrays), where mixed flow fields, including shear and elongational components, are present.
Activités
Perform systematic experiments using E. coli bacteria, including 3D tracking of their trajectories under mixed flow conditions and within complex geometries.
Compétences
PhD in experimental soft-matter physics. Prior experience in active matter, microfluidics, microscopy, and image analysis is preferred.
Contexte de travail
The postdoctoral researcher will work at PMMH, ESPCI, within the Complex Suspensions Group. The position provides access to the microscopy platform and all other equipment available within the group.
