Missions
The objective of this work is to study, theoretically and through numerical simulations, the effects of mechanical memory in disordered materials
Activités
The work will consist of performing numerical simulations at different scales: molecular dynamics, mesoscopic elastoplastic models, and adapting them to different mechanical loading protocols. The results of this numerical work will be compared with experimental results obtained on different types of materials: colloidal glasses, polymers, fabrics, granular materials, etc.
Compétences
Modeling of complex physical and mechanical systems. Scientific programming. Experience in molecular dynamics simulations.
Contexte de travail
The work is part of a collaboration involving partners in France and Germany working on similar topics from an experimental or numerical perspective.
