Missions
Contribute to the study of the composition and transfer of glacial colloids in the glacier-ocean continuum of the Kerguelen Islands.
Activités
-Acquire new data using electron microscopy (SEM/TEM).
-Exploit these data using deep learning methods.
-Present and discuss the results, combining them with other data already available in the project.
-Write a publication.
Compétences
- Advanced training in geochemistry
- Expertise in electron microscopy and/or mass spectrometry
- Knowledge of multivariate statistical methods and unsupervised learning.
- Knowledge in python
Contexte de travail
The work will be carried out at the microbial oceanography laboratory located in Banyuls-sur-Mer. The laboratory brings together 50 people (researchers, engineers, doctoral students and post-doctoral students) conducting research in the field of marine microbiology and marine biogeochemistry. The work will be carried out as part of the MARGO project
