The Cell Cycle & Development lab (https://www.ijm.fr/research-topics/pintard-lab-va/?lang=en) is looking to hire a motivated and productive postdoctoral fellow to join our team at the Institut Jacques Monod in Paris, France, to uncover the molecular mechanisms regulating nuclear envelope dynamics during cell division and development.

Activités

Our team aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms regulating cell division in a developmental context. The present project, “POLONED,” supported by ANR, and conducted in collaboration with Dr. Iza Sumara (IGBMC), seeks to identify the molecular mechanisms regulating nuclear envelope dynamics (disassembly and reassembly) during mitosis using C. elegans embryos and human cells.

Compétences

The applicant should hold a PhD in cell and/or developmental biology and have up to two years of experience. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong interest in the research topic. Previous experience with the C. elegans model is a plus, but not mandatory. Motivation to learn, a taste for teamwork, and the ability to interact and collaborate with team members and collaborators are necessary.

The Institut Jacques Monod (IJM) (https://www.ijm.fr/), located on the Grands Moulins campus of the University of Paris Cité (75013 Paris), is a center of excellence in fundamental biology with 26 research teams and cutting-edge technological platforms in imaging (Imagoseine) and proteomics (Protéoseine). The host team comprises eight members, including permanent staff.
