The candidate is expected to conduct research in theoretical particle physics, with a focus on physics beyond the Standard Model, collider physics and dark matter. The successful applicant will be hosted by the particle phenomenology group of the Laboratory of Theoretical and High-Energy Physics (LPTHE) at Sorbonne Université in the centre of Paris (France). The position is supported by the ANR DMwithLLPatLHC involving Benjamin Fuks, Mark Goodsell and Filippo Sala. It is expected to start in autumn 2022 and last two years.


The candidate is expected to conduct research, publish original results and present them at national and international conferences and workshops. Participation to the local life of the institute and interactions with the particle physics community in Paris and in France are also in order.


We are looking for candidates with research interests including physics beyond the Standard Model, collider physics and dark matter. The successful candidate must hold a PhD degree before the appointment starts.

Work Context

The Laboratoire de Physique Théorique et Hautes Énergies (LPTHE) in Paris as a strong group working on theoretical particle physics and in cosmology. It currently includes 10 permanent researchers, 2 postdoctoral fellows and 7 PhD students. The research topics include beyond the Standard Model physics, quantum chromodynamics, astroparticle physics and cosmology.
