Conceive, carry out, analyze and enhance the results of experiments as part of the project on the functions of transparency in butterflies. The experiments will consist of field predation experiments and a predation video game.


• Collaborate in the development of a video game aimed at testing the role of transparency as camouflage
• Manage the human and technical resources related to the game and its use
• Train the students hired to help with the collection of data
• Define the data collection and analysis protocol
best suited to the problem and lead it in
specialist independently
• Analyze the data collected during the experiments at
using appropriate statistical tools
• Write the results obtained in the form of an article
• Promote the results at an international conference
• Transfer the knowledge and results acquired under
form of “Science Fair” type interventions
with the general public
• Participate in the development of a video game as
biologist specialist in dialogue with a
computer engineer
• Participation in the writing of scientific reports
related to funding requests


• Thorough knowledge in evolutionary biology and
• Solid knowledge in communication ecology and in vision
• Scientific English fluent in written and spoken (level
B2 or equivalent)

Operational skills:
• Design a predation experience protocol on the ground
• Design an experience protocol involving
participatory science
• Good level in bio-statistical analyzes, mastery of R
• Knowledge of image analysis software (ImageJ or
• Writing scientific articles
