A post-doctoral position for more than one year is open to a young researcher motivated by the field of electrochemical energy storage. Among the different technologies considered for storing renewable energies are redox flow batteries. The principle of redox flow batteries is that electrical energy is stored in fluid electrolytes. The charge and the discharge are obtained by circulating the electrolyte in the reactor. Electrolyte mass transfer remains a problem and postdoctoral research will be focused on exploring new porous electrodes for optimal mass and electron transfer reactions with electrolytes to achieve high power density.


The classic vanadium electrolyte and new emerging organic electrolytes will be considered for the evaluation of material performance. Research will be carried out with the aim of adapting the preparation / activation process to the pilot level.


The candidate must have a solid experience in electrochemistry and/or a first experience in the field of batteries. A good expertise in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy will be appreciated. A good knowledge of the modification of electrodes and/or carbon materials will be taken into account.
The candidate must be fluent in English and be independent in writing reports.
