Missions
As a European Project Manager, your main task will be to ensure the operational management and monitoring of the European EIC Pathfinder Challenge HiSOPE project. You will support the European project coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the budget and administrative management of the project and monitoring deliverables and deadlines, communicating about the project, participating in its dissemination and communicating with the European Commission
Activités
The activities are as follows:
- Project coordination: You will ensure the daily coordination of the project between the different partners (academic and industrial) at the European level, and ensure the achievement of scientific, technical and administrative objectives.
- Support to the European project coordinator: You will work closely with the European project coordinator, whom you will assist in the implementation of the overall strategies of the project. You will support him in scientific supervision, major decision-making and communication with strategic partners.
- Budgetary and administrative management: You will be responsible for the financial management of the project (monitoring of budgets, preparation of financial reports, optimization of resources) in accordance with the rules of the European Commission.
- Follow-up of deliverables and deadlines: You will be in charge of planning, monitoring, and ensuring the delivery of the various results expected by the project (scientific, technical, and financial reports) within the allotted time.
- Communication and dissemination: You will participate in the internal and external communication of the project, in the drafting of periodic reports intended for the European Commission, as well as in the organization of events and workshops to promote the results of the project.
- Interface with the European Commission: You will be the main point of contact for exchanges with European agencies, including for financial and technical audits.
- Interface with the other projects of the European call for projects: You will be led to interact with other selected European projects from the same call (Responsible Electronics) as part of what is called a portfolio that you will follow. This portfolio includes four working groups WG1-Technical Synergies, WG2-Outreach and Public Engagement, WG3- Life Cycle Analysis Metrics and Standardization, WG4-IP and Market Strategy. Your investment in at least one of the WG is expected.
- This position involves travel in France and abroad as part of project monitoring, meetings with partners, and scientific conferences.
Compétences
Profile sought:
- Training: You hold a doctorate or an engineering degree in a relevant field (electronics, physics, materials chemistry, microelectronics and nanotechnologies, engineering, life cycle analysis). Experience in a cleanroom research environment is an asset. Experience in life cycle analysis is an asset. Previous experience in the management of European projects is an asset, but applications without specific experience in project management are also accepted, provided that they demonstrate a good knowledge of the academic research environment and its funding mechanisms.
- Experience: You ideally justify an experience in research management with collaborative aspects, particularly within the framework of European funding (Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, EIC Pathfinder). However, candidates with experience in academic/technological research and a strong interest in project management are also encouraged to apply.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of European funding mechanisms and financial management rules for H2020/Horizon Europe projects, or strong motivation to acquire this expertise.
- Ability to plan and manage international consortia.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English (mandatory). Mastering another European language would be a plus.
- Relational ease, leadership, and ability to work in a team and interact with partners from different backgrounds (academic and industrial).
- Qualities: Great autonomy, rigor, organization and ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment.

Contexte de travail
- The host laboratory is the Laser Physics Laboratory which is a CNRS Joint Research Unit (UMR 7538).
- Stimulating work environment within a cutting-edge laboratory and at the heart of an ambitious research project with high technological and societal impact.
- To carry out the project, the activities will be based on the USPN's clean room the Nanotechnology Proximity Center of Paris Nord.

Contraintes et risques
Interaction with European university laboratories (Edinburgh, Eindhoven, Kaunas (Lithuania), CEA LETI Grenoble) requires traveling to Europe.
