- Design and set up of heterogeneous catalytic tests and evaluation of the catalyst performance
- Interpretation of the catalytic outcomes and all analysis results
- Disseminate and promote the results of his/her scientific activity
- Write reports in English for publications,
- Disseminate the results of his/her research activity through meetings (internal and external), colloquia
Compétences
Fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in:
- in-depth knowledge of the main characterization techniques for solid materials and more specifically for supported metal catalysts for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis would be highly appreciated
- extensive knowledge in the field of synthesis and characterization of solid materials based would be recommended
- knowledge of catalytic tests, in heterogeneous catalysis, specifically when operating catalytic process under inductive heating mode
Knowledge of the work environment:
- fundamental knowledge in the field of material science
- fundamental knowledge of the main techniques for operating catalytic setup
- work in a team while being as much as possible independent while making research activity
- level of English C1 or C2 required according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (indicate TOEIC level or equivalent)
Knowledge on the main activities to be developed within the project:
- have excellent skills in the development of nanomaterials
- have experience and fundamentals knowledge of on different catalytic systems
- have an in-depth knowledge of the different analysis and characterization techniques (gas chromatography, thermal analyzes (TPR, TPO, TGA), X-ray adsorption and diffraction, electron microscopy, porosimetry, Raman spectroscopy and XPS)
Contexte de travail
The Institute of Chemistry and Processes for Energy, Environment and Health (ICPEES), is a joint research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and the University of Strasbourg (UMR7515). Its staff includes about fifty permanents and more than 80 non-permanent among doctoral students, post-docs and other fixed-term contracts. The institute has a world-renowned know-how in the field of materials development and their application to various catalytic processes including industrially relevant transformations (in collaboration with various companies).
The researcher will be part of the team of Nanomaterials, Catalysis and Interfaces under the supervision of Dr. Cuong PHAM-HUU, Director of research CNRS.
The researcher will also participate in the scientific discussions for planning his/her research activity in the team and optimize the results of his/her activity.
Contraintes et risques
- multidisciplinary research subjects require knowledge in several fields: i.e. synthesis, characterization and catalytic tests
- exploratory projects need a good knowledge from the candidate for the implementation of the catalytic systems
