Job Description
Missions
Conduct research, write scientific communications, supervise students.
Activity
The research topics can include (but are not limited to) the following themes:
- topological combinatorics, in particular waist theorems that provide lower bounds on the minimum complexity of the largest fiber in an application between spaces.
- f-vectors of nerves of topological set systems, in the wake of the upper bound theorem of Eckhoff and Kalai.
Your Profil
Skills
We are looking for someone with experience in theoretical computer science (computational geometry or topology, extremal or probabilistic combinatorics, discrete geometry, ...) and interested in discrete geometric structures.
Your Work Environment
The person recruited will join the GAMBLE team in the LORIA laboratory, in Nancy.
