Job Description

Missions

This project is part of an ANR-funded project focusing on the study of macrophages in adipose tissue. The postdoctoral researcher will investigate the development and functions of different macrophage subpopulations. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with the various partners involved in the project.

Your Profil

Skills

Knowledge and expertise:
-Expertise in immunology and myeloid cell biology
-Expertise in cell biology
-Excellent knowledge of molecular biology, including RNA-seq
-Excellent expertise in animal experimentation
-General knowledge of multiparametric data analysis
-Fluent scientific English
Technical and professional skills:
-Design and conduct scientific experiments
-Plan and implement scientific studies
-Organize and manage day-to-day work efficiently
-Keep up to date with the scientific literature
-Present research findings effectively in meetings and at scientific conferences
-Write research proposals, scientific reports, and manuscripts, with strong synthesis skills
Personal skills:
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with an excellent team spirit
-Creativity and scientific curiosity
-Strong organizational skills
-Ability to take on responsibilities associated with project leadership
-Management and supervisory skills, including student supervision

Your Work Environment

The “Myeloid Cells and Metabolism” team within the Laboratory of Molecular PhysioMedicine (LP2M), Nice, France, is affiliated with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), France's leading national research organization, and Université Côte d'Azur, a university recognized for its excellence in research and higher education.
The laboratory is located at the Faculty of Medicine in the heart of Nice, in the beautiful Côte d'Azur region. It provides a high-quality scientific environment, with access to all the core facilities required for cutting-edge research, as well as opportunities for close interaction and collaboration with clinicians.

Constraints and risks

The position may involve periods of independent work. The recruited candidate will work closely with our French partners in Lille and Toulouse and may be required to undertake research visits to these partner laboratories.
