Job Description

Missions

The recruited person will be responsible for carrying out a theoretical parametric study of the flows induced by the contraction of artificial vessels containing flexible valves. The aim is to determine the flow rate of the induced flows.

Activity

The successful candidate will develop new theoretical methods by solving Stokes' flow problems coupled with active wall deformation.

Skills

The qualities we are looking for are scientific rigour, strong theoretical skills, an interest in developing analyses using Python, and a passion for advancing knowledge.

Your Work Environment

The IRPHE Laboratory specialises in fluid mechanics. It regularly recruits permanent research staff from the CNRS, Aix-Marseille University and Centrale Marseille.

The post falls within a sector subject to the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST) and therefore, in accordance with the regulations, requires your appointment to be authorised by the relevant authority at the MESR.

Constraints and risks

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong theoretical understanding of fluid mechanics.
