Missions

As part of the study of the relationship between structure, chemistry and electrical properties of phase change materials, the recruited person will have as mission the
comparison of the microstructure (structure and chemistry) (amorphization and crystallization) obtained on full-plate samples by electrical stress by AFM or SEM tips in situ, compared to electrical stress on memory devices. It is a collaboration between IM2NP/CNRS and St Microelectronics.

Activities

In charge of AFM experiments, transfer of these conditions on a SEM-In-situ, and observations on a SEM HR and TEM.

Skills

Preparation of samples by FIB, Observation in SEM-in-situ, SEM HR (EBSD, EDS and WDS), and in TEM UHR (EELS and EFTEM), contribution to the comparison of results.

Work Context

-The work will mainly be carried out within the framework of the microscopy activities of the µTEN/IM2NP team in St Jérôme. the electrical stresses by C-AFM will be carried out in collaboration with the Memories team of IM2NP and by SEM-Insitu in Rousset. Sample preparations and microscopy observations will be carried out on the two shared platforms CP2M and CIMPACA Characterization.
