Missions
Characterisation of granular oxydes in impact glasses: identification of high pressure effects
Activities
Selection of relevant polished sections in the impact glass collection already available in CEREGE, using SEM. High quality polishing specific to EBSD investigations. EBSD characterization of a serie of granular oxydes. Eventually further FIB and TEM characterization.
Writing a publication and presenting the results in an international congress.
Skills
strong experience in SEM and EBSD of impactites.

Work Context
CEREGE is a multidisciplinary research centre specialising in geosciences and the environment. Ideally located in the heart of the Technopôle de l'Arbois in Aix-en-Provence and in the centre of Marseille on the Campus St Charles, it brings together researchers, teachers and students who are passionate about environmental and climate issues. Its mission is to understand the evolution of our planet and provide solutions to the ecological challenges we face. This unit (UMR7330 of the CNRS) belongs to the OSU Institut Pythéas, a component of Aix-Marseille University, the Observatoire des Sciences de l'Univers of the CNRS (INSU) and whose other supervisory bodies are the IRD, the INRAE and the Collège de France. It is in this rich and diverse working environment that the activity of the person recruited will develop in interaction with the laboratory's researchers and teacher-researchers.
The postdoc will be based at the Technopôle de l'Arbois in Aix-en-Provence, but will imply visiting micro-characterization facilities in various laboratoris (Marseille, Saint-Etienne and eventually abroad)
