Missions

The recruited person will work under the hierarchical authority of Claire Bidart (DR CNRS) and Cathy Krohmer (PR AMU), the scientific coordinators of Work Package 1, 'Impact de la crise sur les pratiques professionnelles et les relations de travail', of the ANR programme 'PanelVico: observer les conséquences sociales de la crise sanitaire sur le long terme' (2023–2027), which is coordinated by Pierre Mercklé (UMR PACTE Grenoble) and involves LEST as a partner. This work package aims to analyse the impact of the health crisis caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the containment measures on work, with a focus on career paths, professional practices, relations with management and colleagues, and work collectives. The recruited person's role will be to participate in the day-to-day coordination and scientific leadership of this programme; to assist in preparing, implementing and analysing the interview survey waves; to link these with the quantitative and qualitative data from the survey waves conducted between 2020 and 2026; to analyse these data; and to disseminate the scientific results.
The postdoctoral researcher will therefore participate in the ANR PanelVICO project, particularly WP1. They will also liaise with the other work packages and participate in joint meetings.
The aim of this WP1 project is to understand the transformations occurring in various work environments by analysing how the health crisis has reshaped professional practices. This includes examining the increased use of digital tools and the distribution of teleworking and face-to-face work according to position, task, and time. Additionally, the project will investigate the changes in the formation and maintenance of teams and work collectives, as well as the ways in which work is reorganised. It also affects career paths and workers' plans, as well as how these were reorganised during and after the crisis. This includes the reorientations and sometimes renunciations that resulted, ultimately impacting life trajectories. Working from home has also impacted life outside of work, particularly domestic life, family relationships, childcare practices and marital arrangements. The governance of work teams has also been strongly impacted, with improvised arrangements sometimes leading to tensions or the need to modify assignments, tasks and their organisation. Even the relationships at work may have been impacted, affecting the forms of commitment and the meanings given to the activity and the job. The proposed research will therefore assess the durability of the upheavals that occurred in the ways work is carried out during and after a crisis in different professional sectors. The research questions will focus on attitudes towards work, forms of social recognition, and how projects and future prospects have changed.

Activités

All of the activities listed below will be carried out in partnership with researchers from the ANR PanelVICO programme.
Participate in the design and implementation of surveys using questionnaires, interviews, and observations of individuals and organisations.

The recruited postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for coordinating the team's research activities, taking part in field surveys, acting as a link between the various fields, proposing analysis methods, taking part in these analyses, helping project members structure general results, and taking part in presenting and promoting the results, particularly in the form of publications.
