Within the comparative research framework on gestural communication in human, the missions of the recruited candidate will consist of setting up experiments, of doing the experiments with participants, as well as collecting and analyzing the data for scientific publications.


(1) Improve and follow the design of experimental protocols on gestures production in humans and their properties
(2) recruit participants
(3) organize the experiments
(4) realize the experiments
(5) collect & analyze data, perform statistics, exploit result
(6) participate to scientific article writing


Good experience in research in ethology, psychology, behavioral sciences as well as in statistical analyses, video coding, and relevant associated software (ELAN, BORIS, etc.)

Work Context

Under the supervision of'Adrien Meguerditchian, Principal Investigator of the Project "GESTIMAGE", the research engineer will integrate full time (38h30/week) the research group based at the LPC and the CNRS station of Rousset.
This group include about 2 post-docs, 4 PhD students and 4 master students in interaction with (1) LPC's & station's staff and (2) the scientific collaborators of the project.
Will be make available to the recruited person: An individual desk, a computer working station including software, video and audio recording devices for experiments.
