The postdoctoral researcher will implement a mathematical model of mitochondrial metabolism for the mitoXplorer platform developed in the Computational Biology team (http://mitoxplorer.ibdm.univ-mrs.fr). He/she will integrate this model with the mitoXplorer platform for easy user accessibility. He/she will make use of this model to integrate expression with metabolic data from public repositories, as well as collaborators.


Establishment of a mitochondrial metabolic model ; integration of the model in the mitoXplorer platform ; usage of the model for integrating experimental expression data with metabolic data from different tissues and organisms (mouse, fly).


Mathematical modeling, statistics, RNA-seq analysis and interpretation, programming (R, Python, JavaScript), data visualization. The working language in our team is English, good spoken and written skills in English are indispensable.

Work Context

IBDM is located on the Luminy Campus and comprises about 240 permanent researchers, professors, engineers and technicians and non-permanent staff (CDD, post-docs, PhD students, trainees) working in 21 research teams and 11 technical platforms and services.
IBDM is a joint research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and AMU, which explores the field of developmental biology and associated pathologies.
The activity will be carried out within the team "Computational Biology" directed by Bianca Habermann.
