Job Description

Missions

The candidate will develop methods to enhance our suite of metabolic modeling tools, including, but not limited to, the calculation, comparison, sampling, and visualization of fluxes. He or she will use these tools to integrate and analyze multi-omic data provided by our collaborative partners and interpret the results from a biologically relevant perspective.

Activity

Planned activities include Python code development, the analysis and preprocessing of multi-omic data, the interpretation of the obtained flow data and its comparison with experimental data, and scientific documentation.

Your Profil

Skills

We are looking for candidates with knowledge of Python programming, metabolic modeling, and multi-omics data analysis, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills; supervision of master's students is also required.

Your Work Environment

The IBDM, located on the Luminy Campus, comprises approximately 220 tenured researchers, faculty members, engineers, and technicians, as well as non-tenured staff on fixed-term contracts, postdocs, doctoral students, and interns, distributed across 22 research teams and 11 technical facilities and services. The IBDM is a joint research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and AMU, which explores the field of developmental biology and associated pathologies. The work will be carried out within the “Computational Biology” team led by Bianca HABERMANN. As the laboratory is composed of members of various nationalities, proficiency in English is essential.
