Missions
A postdoctoral researcher position (M/F) is available on a project focusing on the functional specialization of C-LTMRs sensory neurons in vivo. The objective of this position is to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the development of chronic pain in rodents, using murine genetic tools. The researcher will be responsible for the molecular and cellular validation of a new transgenic mouse, the primary culture of murine sensory neurons, in vitro functional testing using calcium imaging, fluorescence immunolabeling and confocal analysis, and the functional validation of transcriptomic data. The researcher will work closely with other members of the team.
Activités
- Experimental research activity including the management of triple transgenic mouse colonies and the production of cohorts for various analyses (immunolabeling on tissues, in situ hybridization, RT-qPCR). - Bibliographic monitoring. - Written and oral communication of work in English.
Compétences
The candidate must have a PhD in neuroscience; be an expert in cellular and molecular biology; be proficient in calcium imaging and confocal imaging techniques; and have a good command of scientific and technical English. Required skills: intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn, scientific rigor, organizational skills and the ability to report on one's activities orally and in writing, ability to work in a team, basic computer skills and proficiency in common software (word processing, spreadsheets); previous laboratory experience would be a plus.
Contexte de travail
The successful candidate will work within the “Chronic Pain: Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms” team led by Aziz MOQRICH. The IBDM, located on the Luminy Campus, comprises approximately 220 permanent researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers, and technicians, as well as temporary employees on fixed-term contracts, postdocs, doctoral students, and interns, spread across 22 research teams and 11 technical platforms and services. As the laboratory is composed of several nationalities, proficiency in English is essential. The IBDM is a joint research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and AMU, which explores the field of developmental biology and associated pathologies.
Contraintes et risques
- Working in confined environments
- Compliance with restrictions related to the confinement of transgenic lines
