Job Description
Missions
Hired by the CNRS within the IC2MP for a period of 24 months, the candidate will be responsible for: - conducting technology watch for the project. (Bibliographic report due in the first quarter); - Performing electrochemical measurements on materials synthesized within the consortium. Physicochemical characterization of electrode nanomaterials for an alkaline electrolyzer and an AEM-type electrolyzer, and testing using an electrolyzer bench.
Activity
Literature review and technology watch on the subject; Conduct electrochemical measurements on materials synthesized within the consortium; Identify the reaction mechanisms involved; Study the stability and degradation mechanisms of catalysts under operating conditions, using in situ characterization techniques (Raman spectroscopy, etc.) and post-mortem techniques (SEM, XPS, etc.)
Your Profil
Skills
PhD in electrochemistry/electrocatalysis or materials chemistry.
-knowledge about sonochemistry would be appreciated.
- Solid experience in synthesis and characterization (physico-chemical and electrochemical) of nanomaterials for electrocatalytic reactions and determination of the kinetic parameters of these reactions.
- Strong writing and oral communication skills in English
-The candidate (M/F) must demonstrate scientific rigor, initiative and a strong ability to present and analyze results in writing and orally. The researcher (M/F) must demonstrate a critical mind, autonomy in work, and the ability to work in a team.
Your Work Environment
The candidate (M/F) will be in Poitiers at Institut de Chimie des Milieux et Matériaux de Poitiers (IC2MP), UMR 7285 CNRS – University of Poitiers, working on a strategic topic related to the energy transition as part of the government's PEPR DIADEM program and the regional PSGAR Energie program. The research conducted at IC2MP is part of a comprehensive eco-design approach (see: https://ic2mp.labo.univ-poitiers.fr/) that includes the design and development of active materials for energy conversion and storage. IC2MP thus has the necessary working environment (research team, equipment, platform, etc.) to ensure the success of this mission, which involves researchers from the SAMCat team. The candidate (M/F) will work under the supervision of the project's scientific lead at IC2MP.
