Job Description

Missions

The agent will be responsible for implementing, carrying out, analyzing, and reporting on the team's various tasks as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-partner research project funded by the ANR. The agent will therefore have significant responsibility for the project's implementation and will share its management and execution with the team leader, who is the project leader.

Activity

- Characterization and identification of the addressing mode of Pseudomonas aeruginosa XcpD secretin - main activity - Joint responsibility for the activity with the team leader.
o Implementation and use of a positive genetic selection test
o Implementation of an in silico pull-down in collaboration with the bioinformatics partner
o Biochemical and genetic validation of identified candidates
- Dynamic exploration of the mode of operation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa XcpD secretin - secondary activity - responsible for certain tasks in support of and downstream from the partners' activities.
o Production and purification of proteins for in vitro analyses (Cryo-EM and RPE)
o Transposition and in vivo validation of data obtained in vitro by project partners.

Your Profil

Skills

Expertise:
- Fundamental microbiology - required with experience in handling level 2 pathogens
- Bacterial secretion and transport systems - required with structural and functional knowledge
- Microbial genetic engineering - required with experience
- Biochemistry of soluble and membrane proteins: production, purification, and protein/protein interactions - required with experience
- Structural biology - required with experience
- Cryo electron microscopy and RPE - basic knowledge

Your Work Environment

The candidate will work within UMR 7283, the Bacterial Chemistry Laboratory located on the Joseph Aiguier campus in the 9th arrondissement of Marseille.
The LCB is composed of 100 staff members divided into 13 teams.
