Missions
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join Dr. BAJENOFF's team and investigate the contribution of macrophages to tissue homeostasis maintenance and in vivo tissue repair.
Activités
You will be responsible for a research project aimed at understanding how macrophages and their tissue niches influence homeostasis and tissue repair in vivo, using original and innovative models.
Compétences
This position will be particularly suitable for candidates with a strong background in immunology and a keen interest in developing expertise in macrophage/stroma interactions. Applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion: thesis submitted at the time of application) in immunology, stem cell biology, or stromal cell biology. Proven experience in advanced flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and/or NGS methodologies is essential. Relevant specialized experience in molecular and cellular biology, molecular genetics, and in vivo studies—ideally related to myeloid cells—is also required
Contexte de travail
The position is based at the Centre d'Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML), a world-renowned research unit located on the Luminy campus, south of Marseille, France. CIML is a joint research unit of CNRS, Inserm, and Aix-Marseille University, bringing together around 200 people across 16 research teams. The successful candidate will join the 'Immunobiology of Stromal Cells' team led by Marc Bajenoff and will work under the direct supervision of Dr. Bajenoff (http://www.ciml.univ-mrs.fr/fr/science/lab-marc-bajenoff/immunobiologie-des-cellules-stromales).
